How to Add CloudSponge’s Complimentary Contact Picker to your Gather account

Making the process of referring as simple as possible for your advocates, helps increase the performance of a referral program.

By integrating your Gather account with CloudSponge’s Contact Picker you can allow your advocates direct access to their email address books when making referrals.

With your Gather account, you receive complimentary access to CloudSponge’s contact picker as part of your campaign.

To integrate with CloudSponge, navigate to the ‘Preferences’ section of your Gather account and select ‘CloudSponge’ from the drop down menu.

Gather enables the CloudSponge Contact Picker as a complimentary addition to your account. If you already have a Branded CloudSponge plan, you can also enter your key in the box and save changes.

To show or hide the Contact Picker in your referral campaign, head to the Design section of the Editor.

The Contact Picker functionality is available for both referral invitation modes.

Invitation Mode: Customers Send Emails Using External Email Client

The following example shows you how you can use the Contact Picker where your preferences are for customers to send their email invitations using their own email client.

In this example, the emails are being sent by the advocate to their friends using the advocate’s email client (external to the Gather platform). With the Contact Picker enabled, as customers search and select their contacts, the email addresses of their friends will appear in the email fields. The customer can then initiate sending the email by choosing from their device’s email client, Gmail or Yahoo.

Without the Contact Picker enabled, the card reverts back to the three email client options.

Invitation Mode: Sending Emails on your Customer’s Behalf

In the following example, the emails are being sent by you on behalf of the customer, using the Gather invitation system. With the Contact Picker enabled, as advocates search and select contacts, the email addresses of their friends will appear in the email fields.

Without CloudSponge enabled, the customer can add email addresses manually in the email address field.
